Automation is one of the most valuable skills you can have at work, and you don't need to be a developer to use it. This course teaches you how to use Zapier to connect your apps and eliminate the repetitive tasks that slow you down every day. You'll start with the fundamentals: what automation is, how it shows up in daily life, and how to recognize which tasks are worth automating. You'll learn how apps talk to each other through APIs, and how Zapier bridges them with no code required. You'll understand the core logic behind automation (the "when this happens, do that" command), learn key Zapier terms (Zaps, triggers, actions, tasks, fields), and build your first automated workflow from scratch. You'll also learn to monitor Zaps and troubleshoot using task history. Next, you'll go deeper: multi-step Zaps that chain actions from one trigger, search steps to pull records mid-workflow, and built-in tools like Formatter, Schedule, and SMS by Zapier. You'll learn the difference between filters (stop unless conditions are met) and Paths (branch into multiple outcomes). You'll also learn where automation hits its limits: task and plan restrictions, Zap loops, rate limits, unsupported apps, and how to work around each. Finally, in two live build-along sessions, you'll build real Zapier agents: autonomous workflows that read your inbox, pull context from your own documents, and draft replies in your voice, with a human always approving the final send. You'll learn how agents differ from standard Zaps, how to give them tools and knowledge sources, and how to test and refine one before turning it loose. Built for busy professionals who want less time on repetitive work and more on what matters. No technical background needed, just a willingness to learn a skill that pays off for years.
